Too bad about the Angels Flight service. The tiny railway makes me think of the Oregon City elevator, another transit oddity. Mechanically it's like any other elevator, but there's a tiny office for an 'operator' inside the car itself, and on my last ride I congratulated the woman for having a fun workplace
