This news is a little old by now, but I keep forgetting to tell you. Sandy Diedrich, known to many of us through her work in the No Ivy League, passed away last month.

I found this information from Amanda Fritz:

oh, god.

she was my first boss. she was fucking nuts. she was incredibly sweet and unfair and impossible. just a couple of years ago she dragged me up in front of an environmental professionals' conference and showed off her obsolete memories of me like I was her kid, though I'd hardly seen her in a decade. her face was pulled into a permanent, mobile smirk like a cartoon pirate's.
