So fundie-man is totally on crack if he thinks Lulin is the comet that's returning in sept. 2012. Why? because any google search will tell the reader that it won't be back this way for another thousand years. Dumbass

I'd take anything you find online about "Hopi prophecy" with a huge grain of salt - a lot of it comes from Frank Water's Book of the Hopi, which is not regarded by most actual Hopi as being very representative of their beliefs at all (which really saddened me when I first found it out, because I had read that book in my teens and really loved it then). Some elements of the popular accounts of supposed Hopi prophecy have some grains of truth in them, but there's been a lot of misrepresentation and political manipulation, by all kinds of different people, from Christian missionaries to new agers to even Hopi activists wanting to use mythology to make political points
