It has come to my attention that I am allergic to an excess of soy (defined as an unspecified amount). This realisation came about this morning when I had the typical symptoms of a soy protein allergy (profuse vomiting and watery diarrhea) right after a dinner with tofu. but what's wrong with ME then! I should grill my mom on how early i got fed solids/dairy. soy makes me gassy, and i know she fed me steamed tofu when i was wee.

yeah, any exposure to solids before 6-7 months is putting a baby at risk for an allergy. and most doctors still recommend starting solids during the 4-6 month period. >:[

also, soy is just really hard to digest for a lot of people. It's not made to be the staple ingredient that North America has turned it into. check out The Whole Soy Story for more info.
