I think it's more a matter of her having gone through this whole childrearing thing 4 times that she knows what she can and cannot get away with. I think if she had fewer kids, she wouldn't be able to do as much. It seems contradictory, but (as far as I can tell) once you've been through it 2, 3, 4 times, certain things become easier and you're able to find time that you didn't think you had previously.

Plus, she's probably a really fast writer (unlike me!).
