Yesterday was supposed to be my second interview, but it didn't happen because the guy who was to interview me was away from the office (I think due to illness). Now I have to wait for them to figure out their schedules and call me back. I want this job, but I'm getting increasingly frustrated with the fact that their office seems to work on Island ( Read more... )

It's possible that the position isn't vacant yet, but will be soon...
Some people give lots of notice of a job change.

only one thing in life?

forget it.

re job: it's a newly created position, so no worries about someone leaving and vacancies. northbard mentioned it being par for the course for non-profit orgs, which this is. ah well. I'll deal.

It's pretty common for any agency/business that has a lot of entrenched bureacracy as well. I applied for an internal position a month ago, and haven't even heard about interviews yet.

"If you could do only one thing in life, all day, everyday, for the duration of your earthly existence, what would it be and why?"

Be a priest. Because it's the thing that I really, really love to do. It challenges me constantly and with constant variety and it really drives me to be the best man that I can be. Becuase I love the Gods and I'm eternally grateful for what they've given me. Because I've seen my life pretty clearly before and after and after ids way, way better. Because no matter how recent it has been, I can't imagine any other life.

Doing only one thing, no matter what that was, would be hell to me, not heaven.

Though if I had to pick something, the first things that came into my head were thinking, having ideas, writing and creating. That last is probably too nebulous, though.

Nope, not too nebulous at all. And really, all I wanted was to get people to think. Creating is perfectly valid.

Having orgasms while dreaming in my sleep. (Don't laugh, that's about the only way I ever have orgasms.)

Although, playing with my son when he's in one of his giggle fits may be even better than dreaming and having orgasms.
