I don't have the FLU!
I have STREP THROAT!!!

I swapped spit with N the following day or the day after -- can' ( Read more... )

I always thought snorting saline was hideous, but a few weeks back while I was totally miserable with a cold I finally whipped up a batch of saline and tried it. And holy cow, it was AWESOME. Not nearly as gross as you'd think (just do it in the shower or over the sink) and I couldn't even believe how much better I felt afterwards. And the feeling-good lasted for hours.

I was just about to recommend the same place, it's my local office and I love them to bits. :) A visit costs about $40 and if you plead poverty they're generally pretty good about giving you samples of medicine rather than making you buy it at the pharmacy.

If you can see Dr Choi on Monday, he's my doctor and I've gone on and on at length in my journal about what an awesome person he is.

Yeah..sorry about that. Believe me, it wasn't intentional. I would much rather not have had the damn mono.

*hugs*

The cold that I had had a sore throat associated with it that A- thought was strep when he had it this week.

He had shakes and chills and felt feverish.

So... it could be either.

Mono is not a very useful diagnosis (ie. your having it has no relevance to whether you feel better or worse in the long or short term... my mono experience was pretty mild... and it doesn't help you treat it) but is associated with positive strep throat diagnosis.
