Zumba tonight was packed - like 20 people in a room that comfortably holds 8. Still good. Getting dressed for class, I realized that my favorite blue sneakers are just about a week or two away from giving out completely at the bottom. I bought them from Payless for $20 three months ago. I *think* my copy of _Fresh from the Vegetarian Slow Cooker_ (or some other cookbook) mentions the option of lining your slowcooker crock with something and then filling it with whatever you would cook and then freezing the crock. When it's frozen solid, lift out the food and store in a plastic bag or some such thing. Then, whenever you want to cook that item, pull it out of the freezer, throw it in the cooker, and cook -- albeit for slightly longer since it's frozen.

I've never tried it, but it seems like it should work.
