Today, I drove my little brother to the DMV to get his learner's permit (hee). Then Mom & I drove to Old Navy... knee length olive khaki skirt and 3/4 length white collared shirt (to replace the 1/2 sleeve one I got from express and wore to bits). I didn't get my license until age 26. Clearly we both fail at being California car-crazy girls.

I just re-read Neverwhere last week while ill. I was thinking about the mini-series, once it showed up in my Amazon Gold Box, but then I decided "nah" and now I think I'm glad.

If you want to, I'd let you use my car to take your test. And I'd be happy to help you parallel park, too. But... it's different to do it all in an SUV. Still... the offer's there.

pity about the mini-series. I had hoped it would be kinda fun (like Gormenghast)- the book has great movie potential. hmmph. Hey, but since I'm a gimp, I guess I don't have anything better to do than netflix it ;).

Well, I didn't really like the Gormenghast mini series either. It was just... stuffy.

I didn't get my license until last year when I finally realized that Oberlin wasn't going to grow a subway. I also failed the test several times.
