I could almost get interested in DC having a baseball team. I'm not a big sports fan, but, did - in years gone by - enjoy listening to Al Kaline and Ernie Harwell do play by play for the Detroit Tigers. 1984, I even won a pretty good sized bet on the Tigers winning the world series

I could care less either way about sports teams. I'd like to be able to take the kids to a game just for the experience - a real baseball game, a real basketball game, etc. Unfortunately the cost of tickets and all the added expenses (parking, food) add up to such a huge amount that it's cost prohibitive. I'll rent FIeld of Dream instead ;)

Ya, the other thing that got me on the hat was the $25 price tag. JFC.

If you want to take the kids to a ball game, look at any of the various local minor league teams, like the Aberdeen Ironbirds or the Potomac Nationals.

Nobody likes the W hat. Everyone wants the one the players are wearing at camp that has DC on it. Don't know how you can get one though.
