She'd fallen, miserably so, in love with Buffy Summers.
Mooning over her as if she were Angelus.
Or worse, Spike.
They lay together; remorseless in their lovemaking as glaciers.
In passion's heat Darla bit too deeply and, having no recourse, forced her suckling.
No heed paid to their surroundings; damage done to an already dangerously fragile structure, they carried on into morning.
Not too bright a one, but did it need to be to turn them into smoke on the breeze?
