Yeah, I hear what you're saying. WE...know that women loving women is as "normal" as any other love, but yes the world as a whole is ignorant.

I don't get it either. I am the same good decent person no matter who I love.

People in general are scared about what they don't know and discriminate based on that alone.

I mean look at what is going on in your country right now with the outrageous universal health care debate. As a Canadian I shake my head at the opposition to it and think...WTF?

There are people who tell other people what to think ie,....being gay is wrong/universal healthcare is socialism. People who can't think for themselves and take the time to educate themselves about a certain topic therefore HATE and oppose everything that is different from them and believe complete nonsense out of.... I'll say it again ignorance!

I hear your frustration and would like to say only this... my grandfather told me when I came out to him... "it doesn't matter what gender you fall in love with poppet, your heart doesn't have eyes, so it can't tell what sex they are, it only knows that it loves them. You be true to yourself and ignore the hatred and bigotry around you, that makes you the better person."

I've tried to live by that motto all my life and I've been out for almost 20 years now, and you know what, not many people are bigotted towards either me or Mrs LD cuz they just see us as a normal happy couple. Hopefully, the rest of the world will catch up soon.
