The Morning After (Closed to lasgalenlegolas )

Since meeting Legolas, Willow had a lot of firsts in her life. She was in love and while that wasn't a first because she had honestly loved Oz, it hadn't been this deep or this fast. She'd been aware that what she'd felt for him, while wonderful, hadn't really been like what Buffy and Angel had. She couldn't say that anymore. What she felt for ( Read more... )

"It always proved suitable for us," Legolas admitted, "but Elven culture is quite different from here." He spoke while watching her with interest as she poured the red sauce onto the hash browns. Reaching over, he took a tiny bit of the red covered potatoes to taste.

"What is this sauce?"

She grinned at him, "it's ketchup. Um, it's a sauce made from tomatoes. It's great with potatoes. Wait until you have french fries. Uh that's fried potatoes in a long strip."

Willow was realizing that describing the food really wasn't as appetizing as it is. "Okay, that sounds kind of weird but it really is good."

Legolas laughed. "Perhaps I should just let you eat without having to answer questions with every bite. I am just curious," he said with a shrug. "I do like the ketchup on the potatoes though, and I look forward to french fries." With that, he returned to his own meal, tasting the food with relish until he was completely full.

"That was wonderful but I cannot eat anymore right now." Leaning back, he took a deep breath. "I have not been so full of food since midsummer many years ago."

Willow finished the egg but the waffle and potatoes were still on her plate. She blew out a breath and patted her stomach. "Whew, I'm full. Okay, I don't think I'll need to eat lunch." And perhaps dinner. She shifted in the booth to face Legolas more. "I think walking after this is a very good idea."

Legolas felt various emotions from Willow and he knew that she had not had the relationship with her parents that he had. He wished there was something more he could do about that, but the past was as it was. "I hope one day you can visit my world. My Ada will love you. He always wanted a daughter."

The pair moved through the small village as they talked, finally spotting the farm in the fields near the stables. They approached the small building near the road, where the signs indicated farm fresh food for sale.

Willow felt a happy flip flop in her stomach when Legolas said that his father would love her. She'd never admit it, naturally, but there was a bit of nerves wondering what Legolas' friends and family would think of her.

When the stopped in front of the entrance to the farm, Willow just grinned. "I've never been to farm before. Oh, I've been to a farmer's market but that's not really the same thing. This is so cool."

"Aside from my visits to Gondor or Mithlond," Legolas said as they entered the building, "this is all that I know. Farming and hunting are our normal ways of eating." He was pleased to see the fresh food available in the small building. They chose a large, beautiful hand-made basket and began to browse among the fresh eggs, cheese, milk, fruits and vegetables.

"What looks good to you, Willow?" Legolas asked as the fresh fruit caught his eye.

Willow noticed where Legolas was looking and gently led him over toward the fruit. "This is a good place to start I think. You can never go wrong with fresh fruit. Huh, I wonder if the village lets any fruit grow here no matter what the season is."

She picked up a bag of apples and put it in the basket. "What looks good to you?" All the fruit and vegetables looked delicious.

Legolas smiled at her, understanding how exciting this was for her - it was for him as well. "Yes, beloved, we are home...our home." He moved into the glade as Willow closed the door behind them. He put the basket and the bag of breads on the grass by the door, moving over the pull Willow into his arms. "Welcome home, meleth-nin."

Willow wrapped her arms around him, surprised at how right everything felt. "I love you." She leaned up and kissed him feeling so loved and happy. "Welcome home. I like the sound of that."

For once, it felt like a home for her. Growing up, her house was just that, a house. The library was more her home than her home but now, it felt like she had one.

"So do I," he said, welcoming her kiss, then returning it. "You will always have a home with me, Willow," Legolas said, holding her close. "You are mine until we no longer draw breath." Legolas looked into her bright eyes and smiled.

"Shall we see if we have a kitchen before we get your things?" he said, looking around the glade. It looked different, as though something had changed but he was not sure what.

Willow nodded, bending down to pick up the bag that held the bread. "Let's see our new home." She could be honest with herself and acknowledge the fact that she hadn't really paid a lot of attention to the room. Her full attention had been on Legolas.

She walked toward the area where her kitchen was and saw the hedge that Legolas mentioned. With a bit of anticipation she passed it and then smiled widely. "You do have a kitchen." There was a bit of relief in her voice when she saw it. "Oh great you even have a microwave." Microwave popcorn, really was the best. She took the bread out of the bag and set it on the counter.

The pair approached and Willow stopped to smell the beautiful flowers, but Legolas peeked cautiously around the corner. He didn't expect anything bad but the war had made him a bit more careful than before. When he looked, Legolas saw something he had left behind at home.

Grinning, Legolas let out a loud 'whoop', then turned, giving Willow a mischevious grin. "Well, that settles whether or not we need to worry about that." With that statement, he stood aside and let her see.

At Legolas' whoop Willow looked up curiously and couldn't help but grin with him. She stepped around the hedge to see what had caused the reaction then laughed.

"That's so neat." She closed the distance and ran her finger tips around the edge as she walked around it. "Is this your bed from home?"

"Yes," he said, moving in to join her. He ran his fingers over the soft cloth coverlet and the thicker fur blanket that he loved. "I made this bed - well, my brothers and I did. I had the idea for it to mimic the feeling of being in the upper branches of the trees, so we made one for each member of the family. It was to help us feel better when we were trapped in the caves due to evil." His fingers continued to run through the fur as he spoke. "My mother made the coverlets and the fur covers were from animals we hunted and then cured the pelts."

"You made this?" Willow's eyes went wide and the new meaning behind the bed made it that much more special. "It's really beautiful." She cautiously touched the fur and was pleasantly surprised at the softness.

Some people didn't understand how Willow could hate fur coats but be fine with other products with fur like the covering. To her, this was very different. This was using all of the animal for practical purposes and not just killing for the sake of vanity. Plus it was part of the culture, just as it was part of the culture for Eskimos to kill whales and use their oil.

"Your whole family is so talented." Willow smiled at Legolas.

Legolas smiled as Willow raised up, straddling his hips. Every movement caused the bed to swing just slightly, adding to the heady excitement. He watched her, loving the smile, followed by a slight and very sexy pout as she unbuttoned his tunic and touched his skin. He was disappointed that she stopped short of undoing them all but before he could say anything, she straightened and reached behind her...tossing away the last piece of clothing between him and her upper body. Biting his bottom lip lightly, Legolas' hands left her waist and moved up to cup her face tenderly. His finger traced over her full, kissable lips, then both hands traced a slow, lazy trail down from her face, over her shoulders, down to brush over her hardened nipples and down her belly. He stopped at her waist, the long, loose skirt laying in bunches over his hips and hiding his obvious interest.

"Do not stop now," he teased with a grin.

Willow kissed the pad of his finger when he traced it over her lips. She'd never thought of herself as sexy. She certainly never viewed herself as any type of sensual being, yet with Legolas, Willow was quickly becoming that. He brought out that side of her, or perhaps it was the way he viewed her that allowed that side to grow. Whichever it was, she was enjoying it.

A trail of fire seemed to follow the movement of Legolas' hand, her eyelids lowering to half mast and a sensual shudder slid along her spine to accompany it. At his teasing, she smiled ever so slightly but rather than continuing her undressing, she moved to finish his.

Willow leaned forward, trusting in his grip to keep her steady, and unbuttoned another two clasps. She moved the material out of the way exposing more skin but this time instead of caressing it, Willow leaned down to place a trail of soft kisses from his collar bone to just above his abdomen.

Legolas loved to watch Willow when they were intimate. She practically glowed, opening like a blossoming flower and it was addictive. His thumbs slowly circled the bare skin at her waist while he watched, wanting her to take the lead in this. When she leaned forward, he tightened his hold slightly and then moaned when her warm, sweet mouth moved against his skin. Her hair fell around her face, tickling as she moved. Legolas moaned softly, his body arching slightly toward her, wanting more.

Her lips curled into a smile against his skin at his reaction to what she was doing. That silent encouragement only had her wanting to explore more. His taste was addictive and Willow was quickly learning that it wasn't just going to be a constant need to touch him but to also taste him.

She shifted her body down only a little so that she could continue the journey. The rest of the clasps were undone which led his upper body exposed to her lips, teeth and tongue. The sensual exploration then went from just above his abdomen to where his leggings stopped her movement. She paused, teasing him with her tongue just below his belly button.
