That was cute and clever and so awesome of you! I'm sure she appreciates it greatly.

*laughs* Thank you. Dr. Seuss I am not, but hopefully there's an A for effort in there somewhere. Thanks so much for reading!

If you missed it, I have a new bit of poetry up:

and LD7 was awesome-enough to draw for it. :)

Ahhh ... Lighthearted rhymie-whymie poetry. My opinion of you has just improved a notch, lol. I, too am glad for her lack of stage vomit. And that you have such a good friend in your sis. :)

My way of making someone laugh is my writing ridiculous poetry, what can I say? Although I was remembering the one you did for me last year that included ALL of my stories. Nothing can top that masterpiece! I was writing this and it still made me take pause of what skill that took to work all that in. Look, you're still making me happy all this time later. It's the gift that keeps on giving! XD

Awww ... Glad you enjoy it ... Still. There is some sort of perverse satisfaction in finding a rhyme where it shouldn't be possible, you know? I'm still computerless, so I will have to respond to your e-mail somewhere down the road.

You'd think it gets easier, but it never seems to! I don't know why public speaking is so hard! But she is really knowledgeable in her field, and I love to her her talk about all the stuff she knows; it's fascinating to me and I'm lucky that I get the benefit of hearing all the insider stuff without having to go to a formal lecture. She works for a Slavic library and speaks Russian and Greek and can translate all these old texts; the library she works for has the 5th largest collection of papyrus scrolls in the world, and she got to watch a new method of unrolling one, and she brought me a translation of one that was fascinating. Ah, the things we talk about! I really am proud of her!

I saw that you are going through a rough patch, and I am ever so sorry. Don't worry a bit about what you *should* be doing, just work on getting through the terrible grey slog and come back to us when you are feeling better again. *hugs to help you until then*

I do feel for those who can't speak in public... even actors go all funny. But I am odd that way. I LOVE examinations. REALLY DO... and as for public speaking, just really enjoy. I've acted and spoken on all sorts of subjects, and have never had any qualms at all, except worries that my 'talk stuff' wasn't interesting enough. I've taken people on so many guided tours too. I spose that helped enormously. But its horrid not being able to go out there and show all these treasures you have in your possession that the world should also know! I know you had the horrors about piano playing in public ( ... )

Oh, I would love to hear you talk! What an ability, I so envy you! I don't know about my sis (I suspect it is the same for her), but I DO get all shaky even in a small group of friends, even with only two or three of us. I just don't like to be the center of attention one bit. I've always hated it. Now, I LOVE a good sharing of ideas, but I can't stand people looking at me or listening to me--I just get so self-conscious ( ... )

LOL. I *did* see it on my facebook page! And thank you so much! It definitely made my "Oh thank god it's over" shakes easier to bear :)

Who was it that said "It is far, far better to drink to party than to overcome anxiety"? ;) Somebody famous I'm sure!

Now it is time to climb back into my obscure librarian hole and make sure I never have to present again :)
