Don't know about streets and avenues, but the State of Oklahoma numbers its roads across the entire state, starting from the New Mexico state line at the end of the panhandle. Just west of Fort Smith, Arkansas is North 4,810th Road. That was definitely a jaw-dropper when I saw it. :)

That's pretty impressive.

There are other roads that are higher in number including 4820 the highest route I found, however Google is calling it CR 4820.
