Shakerfield Springs - Week 4
Hey, LJ changed the look of the text editor! And it sucks! This is third time I'm editing this and it still looks like balls. so bear with me. I'm sure I'll get it in the end.
But on to more important things. Welcome back to Shakerfield Springs. this took longer than I anticipated, sorry for the wait.

Hera (racing_oatmeal) son discovers there is no such thing as a pink cloud when you're caring for two babies in an ISBI
.
Not to mention the only controllable sim in this house isn't of much help. All Xavier ever does these days is write his novels.
And another one finished. If it's a bestseller, Xavier can open his bookstore.
Whooo! Bookstore here we come.
For an ISBI sim, Hera is very smart. She can feed herself.
Hera: "All you ever do this days is write. You never help out with the kids. I did not sign up for this." Xavier didn't really know what to say, much like his namesake he just stood there looking sad.
But Xavier did help out with the twins' birthday. First up is Logan.
And nest is Scott and his green cloud.
Here's a shot of Scott as a toddler.
And here is Logan, who refused to look a the camera.
Logan immediately starts working on his logic skill.
While Scott is more interested in fun fun fun :)

Xavier opened his bookstore Read-a-lot. His first customer is Sourire (simcerly). Xavier: "Your grand kids will love this book for sure!"
Xavier must have been very convincing. Sourire bought all the zombie books.
Xavier: "So many buttons. This is so hard!" I love the tormented look on sims that don't know how to use the registrar.
Jocaste (simcerly), buying a witch book. This amused me :D
Xavier's inexperience with the registrar caused long lines.
And very unhappy customers. At least Alex (racing_oatmeal0 didn't throw down her bags in rage.
Back home, Logan is the first sim to pass out. Hera tried to take him to his crib four times (she's a great mom), but Logan was to busy playing with his Jack in the box.
So first you keep whining you want to go to bed and now you're whining you want out...

Summer checks out her neighbor's store. In Shakerfield Springs both stores are side by side in the business part of town. I'll post a tour once my map is a little more fleshed out. With just two families it looks a little empty.

The store is getting more and more crowded. Xavier needs help. These were the sims he could hire. I dicided on Skylar. I don't know if it breaks rules, but to me she seems a logical choice in a small community.
And so Skylar starts her first day of work.
Xavier has earned his gold sales badge. I love the Dazzle animation. It reminds me of silly little girls seeing unicorns.
Scott and Logan grow up. The both grew up with a green asipration level, so they'r reasonably happy.
And Scott is reasonably evil. He spends his saturday standing on a rug waiting to zap his brother.
And then this happened. I was busy looking at the shop's stats, so I missed the kiss. But Xavier was making out with Wendigo (simtopi)! WTF!
I see what you're doing there!
Why yes, there is a rug in the bathroom, too.
From evil to adorable in ten seconds flat.
Beatrice (skellington7d) is very impressed by Xavier's selling skills.
Her gold star is the last one Xavier needs to reach level 10. My fist level 10 business *celebrates* To be fair, Summer's store might have reached level 10 too if it didn't bork when it did.
But that's all for this update. Sorry for the unispired comments, I'm dead tired and batteling my allergies.
