So. I've really been missing from LJ for a while.

I suppose this can be attributed to a few things.

One. Failing out of university.
...
Yeah, there's not a whole lot else to say about that.

Two. I've been spending a lot of time developing a (gasp) original world and doing a lot of writing in it.
I spend a lot of time on it ( Read more... )

I think that that's one of the most important lessons in life, and one that a lot of people never learn: Identifying where you think you need improvement and then doing something about it.

So long as the direction it takes you in is a good one, then I'm happy for you. It's good that you can see places where change is needed.

Well, it's nice to see that apparently growing a spine means also alienating all of your other friends.

It's nice to see that "following your dreams" generally means being a cunt.

Oh, and moving halfway across the country with your new girlfriend-- who you were in love with while you were dating me, but didn't have the balls to break up with me over. Who you were as good as cheating on me with, what with the constant flirting, and you insinuating to her that you were in love with her...

Aren't you such a catch.

I really hope you and her stay together forever and ever, because you're going to need that companionship since you've alienated everybody else.

Well, it's not like I don't like the direction you're going in so much as the fact that that direction kinda leads to the other side of the country, where it might be a little hard to stay in contact, where anything could happen with me not knowing or being unable to help if needed, and where it would be very easy to forget about... uh, other friends.
Not to say I don't support your dreams of traveling across the country, it's just that, well, y'know, being superawesome friends, I'll kind of miss you. And also, worry about your well-being during this, what with caring and all. ;P

But, yes, growing a spine is fun work, isn't it? I recently started growing one myself, and I must say I feel... well, idunno, kind of better? :d;;

I think I shouldn't write important comments this late... or at least when I'm sick or tired or both. -_-;
