So....my new computer.  As much as it completely sucked to shell out money that I don't have right now, I luff my new toy!  It's so pretty and fast and the screen is wider, which I love.  Windows Vista takes some getting used to, though.  Yesterday, I was about to have a heart attack when I couldn't figure out how to center text in a word document ( Read more... )

Oooh nice laptop. I'm jealous - that will probably be the next thing we save up for - well, that *I* save up for. Ben's got his own nice one, and our desktop is functioning, but 6 years old and slow. I'd love my own laptop, or sleek, black flatscreen desktop. :-)

So, tell me what's up with Vista? Do you wish you'd stayed with XP, or do you think things are moving towards Vista?

Yeah, my old laptop was a 4 year old hand me down, so even though it is functional, it is nice to have a nice shiny new computer.

There are some really cool features to Vista and I'll probably stick with it, but it is definitely a departure from what I am used to an operating system/MS Office to function like. It requires a shift in thinking on how the programs are put together. Tabbed browsing instead of drop down menus...that sort of thing.

Thanks! You'll have to play tourist for a bit once you move, so you can see all the sights. =)
