Two differences between this recipe and mine: 1. For the batter I drained 1/2 cup of pineapple, quick dried it with a towel, and used in instead of raisins. 2. I didn't use the filling, but it looks like it might be good.
Oh wow, that one sounds amazing! I was going to go through my martha stewart cookbook and see what she has to offer, but i might have to make that instead!
I will definitely let you know. Bill doesn't like nuts except for peanuts but every carrot cake I've ever had had some sort of nuts in them. I might just put fewer in whatever recipe I make.
I love Alton Brown's recipes. I'd give this one a whirl. I haven't tried it yet, but I plan to for a party we're having this summer. I love carrot cake, Joe doesn't, so I need a crowd to make it
