Woke up with a sore throat this morning, almost certainly the same thing Katie’s been fighting all week, so I’ve been drinking tea today. Our lunch room at work has a basket of sugar, Sweet-n-low, and Equal packets which someone has thoughtfully arranged in three wide stripes, making it look oddly like the French tricolor

Were you aware that sweetpoison.com is an anti-aspartame site? (Rather interesting, but on the whole much too preachy to be taken with less than a shakerful of salt.)

Unfortunately, it looks more like an infomercial than an actual advocacy site, which tripped my BS detector real fast.

Have you had that thing where you wake up in the middle of the night unable to breathe because your throat is so constricted and you have to spend the next 10 minutes gasping for air?

Maybe that is a special feature of those of us who have asthma when they suffer from The Plague.

Fortunately, no... but as a fellow asthmatic, I've been dreading it.

On the other hand, my asthma is mostly under control (even if I have to take three kinds of medication every day). It's my allergies that really cause problems.
