I love the movie The Princess Bride, so it probably comes as no surprise that I also liked Jael McHenry's online article, "Publishing and The Princess Bride: What Aspiring Authors Can Learn From Florin".

Have you read Just Kids? I don't normally read non-fiction. I have an illogical bias against it--I can't explain or rationalize it, I just simply can't sustain interest in 99% of nonfiction books. But... I picked up a copy of Just Kids and started reading random pages and it's just gorgeous. I didn't end up buying it that day but it's officially on my wishlist now.

It's "amazing" how often hard work comes up in discussions of what it takes to succeed.

Funniest thing (possibly?) - it wasn't until you mentioned "hard work" that I realized that two of the quotes today specifically reference and it is rather implied in the bumper sticker, too.
