All except possibly Mr. Elliot, who may end up married to "that woman", and Sir Walter and Elizabeth, who really don't regain their former "glory" that we know of. The good prosper and the rest are left to scratch for themselves. A wonderfully "moral" ending, isn't it?

I still hold that Elliot and Elizabeth would have been perfect together. Though Mrs. Clay now being a kept woman is pretty amusing too.

About Mr. Elliot and Elizabeth: He was too smart for her, and she was too in love with herself, I think, for that to really work.
