It's all over but the singing

The icon I've chosen describes the current situation at my house. And it seems profoundly quiet compared to last night, when hubby gave the girlies the gift he chose for them for Chanukah. (My kids celebrate both Chanukah and Christmas.)

Wanna know what you can get for your tween and teen girls (and probably for amanda_marrone and jenlyn_b and jo-no-anne and maybe even thatgirlygirl) that ( Read more... )

I am so glad your girls loved it but Emily would murder me if I bought that for her. I think she'd just crack up, actually.

I'm the one who would end up playing with it.

You would so be arguing with M over who got to be Sharpay, I'm sure. But I'm surprised Em wouldn't want to sing some of the tunes (even though they are really not my cup of tea).

What a great dad!

I'm one of the few ... heck, maybe the ONLY person who has never seen HSM.

I haven't seen either of them either, and the music makes me want to gouge my eyeballs out. But the kids love it, and my hubby earned major step-dad points with them for this one!

Wow, those gaming people are genius!!!

It's available for the Wii??? I know a couple of people who will want to get this for their girls. Wait. We have a Wii. Maybe I want to sing and dance like Sharpay too! Oh yeah, I already bought Dance Dance Revolution which my boys may or may not like but I will.

Yes, of course it is. Oddly enough, not for XBOX, but for PS2 and Wii.

Forget tweens. My three-year-old wants to be Gabriella when she grows up.
Dare to dream, baby. Dare to dream.

Bop, bop, bop, bop to the top. Of course, I thought they were saying "hop til you drop", but that's another story.

This sounds like our house the day Guitar Hero: Rock Band came out. I had seven teenaged boys in my house for twelve hours. They let me try the drums once. I was terrible. My husband, on the other hand, could rock along quite well.

Guitar Hero is here, but hiding. It's for Christmas. It's going to be a ginormous hit, as will something else, which I will not name, in the offchance that the kids check my blog and its comments. It's never happened yet, but it could.
