Oooh. Plum looks & sounds awesome. Will check it out.

On a related note, do you ever order books from England? I've been tempted a few times, but figured the shipping cost would be prohibitive.

I have a complete set of British Harry Potter books, compliments of my hubby. And I've got a few Jane books from England, and they tend to be a bit more expensive (they're distributed over here, but I'm sure the shipping factored into their cost.) And shipping is on the high side, but sometimes, it's the best you can do. And I dearly want the UK version of Plum.

What wonderful interview Kelly! This is really great reading and I'm totally excited about Mitton's work now.

I have ordered from England, both from amazon.uk and from Persephone Books. The shipping can be spendy ($15 or so, depending) but it's so worth it to get books you love!

Thanks Colleen! I've gotten some British books too -- they can be spendy to ship, but I agree that they're worth it!

This was a fascinating interview--well-asked, Kelly!---and I've forwarded it to my friends who are poets. Such a beautiful looking book, Plum is! Got to go look for it...

It's really a magnificent picture book poetry collection -- Tony's poems are all gems, and Mary's art is so richly rendered!

Looks like I'll have to visit Amazon.co.uk -- I loved the US version, but I want the "whole" PLUM now!

Kelly, thank you for the heads-up on Plum. I'm going to look for it tonight at the library. Very good interview, too.

Thanks, Susan -- don't you just love Tony Mitton now?? (He has other books out in the U.S. as well!)
