My local JoAnn's is closing. It's a smaller store, and I don't go there super-often, but it still kinbd of sucks since it's the only nearby fabric store. I went in today to see if there was anything I needed at their going-out-of-business sale. Ooooo! Yarn frenzy!

I got a couple skeins of the Thick-n-Thin recently on clearence and am making them into a hat from the new Yarn Girl's book. the Gilbert Family hat. Kind of a pain to work with, but makes interesting bobbles when worked in stockinette.

I've used the Landscapes to make a felted purse and it looks nifty. Well, by "make" I mean knit, felt, then put away before ever finishing (in this case that would mean adding a lining, felted flower, and purse handles.)

Let me know what you decide to make out of the others, I can never figure out what to do with interesting yarns.

In my knitting news, I'm about 3/4 of the way done with the Pagan Baby Sweater. I would be much further along, but I dropped my second skein of yarn before winding it and it somehow got so tangled that I spent an entire Sunday afternoon setting it right.

I had a great time on our visit, thank you for being such a great hostess! Must do it again!

I'm finding it much harder to start with yarn and find patterns to make, esp. since I got a lot of summery but bulky yarns. I'm finding a lot of ideas on Berroco's website in their free patterns section.

I can't recall - is this a Flaky Poly Pagan Baby Sweater, or simply a Pagan Baby Sweater? :)
