The smell of ionized, low-pressure air; the suspenseful-theme-music feel of shopping for batteries and canned ravioli; the TV perpetually set to Weather Channel coverage*. I don't have a smartphone yet. I'm still using my stupid one. :P I DO have plans to get one as soon as summer slowness is over, because there is an app for taking credit cards that I need.

Ah well, the man bought me a new phone in Singapore last week, so I'll have that when he gets home Wednesday. I hate when he travels but he brings home nice presents!
And I'm glad you came through the hurricane OK, I was thinking if you. And of the SIL who lives in Baton Rouge. Who, BTW, needs a little house-selling mojo at the moment if you have any to spare,,,there are 2 families feuding on her street and the body count is 2 dead and one in ICU. So far. And its TheEmgineer's sister, our nephew, and the 2 dogs who need to be out of there and safe.
Arguing is fine. Guns in an argument are not. *hugs and hugs* post more often, good icons or not!often

Well you'll just have to come visit for the next one. By then I'll have moved to a place with an extra bedroom.
It was really fun, until my painfully annoying neighbors came back a day before the power came back on, so I had to sit there and listen to the woman complaining and carrying on without being able to shut my door to it, lolol. It made me really appreciate my air conditioner, not just for the coolness, but for the sound buffer!

Today, it's as if nothing had happened at all around here.
