The updated ATI drivers that made my monitor shut off for 90 minutes also made it so Bloodlines can't run. Again. I'd try rolling the drivers back, but as badly as they fucked up on their way in, I'm half afraid that they'll brick my system on the way out.

Which CCC drivers are we talking about? 8.12 bricked my dad's system for a good minute and I had to spend considerable time fixing it when I tried to roll it back. The fact that he has a pair of 4850's in Crossfire didn't help either. Eventually had to trim it down to 8.9 and just live with non-optimized Crossfire.

The very latest; the 9.1 version of Catalyst. At the point in the driver installation where it says 'your screen may flicker on and off. This is normal' my screen flickered off... and never flickered back on. It was responding to things like capslock, though, so I decided to just give it time and see what happened. After an hour and a half, I finally gave up and rebooted it. It started fine, but Windows told me that a graphics card had caused a system error.
