I don't like Ava, I was nauseous throughout episode 4 and I wasn't even going to read the story. Then I reminded myself that your writing is always great and so I gave it a shot. I'm glad I did. Wonderful. I like your Ava, and Alex driving past her house works for me. Favorite lines:

He didn’t chicken out, he just had sense beat into him a little too late and stopped at a yellow light when he should have kept going.

...the bit about him and the cute redhead that went nowhere when you expected it to go everywhere.

It may be obvious, but it's always a revelation when you write it, at least for me. Then again, the written word always paints a clearer picture.

And I love the ending.

I feel that this one won't get as read quite as much as others for that exact reason. Most people in fandom have Alex placed solidly with Addison, Izzie or Callie and have a "Kick her now, please" opinion of Ava. But, for some reason, their scenes in Thursday's episode made me go a little happy inside and I have a thing for second person POV lately and this just kind of happened.

Thank you so much. :)

This was such a lovely read, Sara. The characterizations and Alex's actions are so realistic and thoughtful. Great job.

I liked this, even if I don't necesserally want Alex with Ava (I don't even know what I want him to do..) It kind of puts perspective on things, seeing it from Avas POV. He didn’t chicken out, he just had sense beat into him a little too late and stopped at a yellow light when he should have kept going. was a great line, I was thinking something along those lines the whole episode, I was like "He did come back, you just left a bit too early!" Good job.

I know, I kept waiting for him to say that he came back and he looked like he would a couple times but no. Oh well.

Thanks!

At first I was a little weary about the pairing and then I saw your author tag and was like "Damn, if anyone can pull this off, it's her." So I read and very much enjoyed it.
I was never one for the whole Alex/Ava thing last season but there was something about the last episode that made me not hate them. Maybe because Alex is getting some and it is about time. Who knows, the closing lines were amazing and thanks for this!

It's actually kind of frightening how many comments I've received over the past year that start out with variants of "Well, I was kind of sketchy about the pairing/summary but then I saw that you wrote it and if anyone can pull it off, it's you." :)

Yeah. I kinda went all cute and squishy inside whenever they showed up on screen. Thanks!

I firmly believe it is because you are that good. You could write something like Hahn/George and I'd still be in. I kind of find myself rooting for the Alex/Ava thing. Thanks :)

*chokes* Uhm, I'll pass on that particular pairing but thanks for the vote of confidence.

Well, I guess I'll be the one minority here and say that I AM a fan of Alex with Ava. Last weeks epsiode was great and I squeeled like a 14 y/o the entire time (I'm 21). I dont think he should be w/ Izzie, at least not yet. And Addison was just a step-stepping in his path of growing up and maturing. And I dont think I'd EVER want him and Callie together. (Sorry, these are just my opinions). But I do think Ava's the one for him. She brings out his mature, grown up side, but still lets him be that horny teenager who cant keep his hands off a girl. I smile the most when Alex is with Ava ( ... )

I didn't used to be. And then Addison left and, well, by default. They had me grinning like an idiot whenever they appeared last Thursday. Seriously.

I'm surprised there aren't more. I really am. Especially after he came back and then we found out that he drove "in her general direction." *shrugs* There isn't even a tag at ga_fanfic for it.

Thank you!
