holy emo indeed, but very well done :) you wrote in a perfect balance of angst and drama, putting in light moments exactly when they were needed. i love that the trio rebuilt their relationship during this troubled time, that derek was instrumental in their healing as a family, both physically and emotionally. my heart broke when suzie died, and also when addison said she was done with her relationship with Him. I believe that scene was enough to describe the amount and intensity of pain she was feeling. last but not the least it was heartwarming to read mark and addison as a family because i truly believe mark would be that kind of guy. sigh. sniff. thanks for writing this.

Holy hell, you weren't kidding with the holy emo comment. Beautifully done. My heart hurt for them all the way through, but the parts that really got me were Mark finishing the story and Addison yelling at God. Her being "done" with God? Just...wow. I just wanted to hug her.

Wow. This was beautifully written, as well as being very sad and angsty. I cried a lot once I got about halfway through the story. I read it at like 11pm with the intention of going to bed as soon as I finished it, but I couldn't stop crying for like 15 minutes so I had to find something happy to do for a while! I love that Derek came to help them, and I liked all the characteristics of their daughters. I also liked the baby's name. ;) haha. And Emily is a nice middle name to go with Lauren; I'd never really thought of that. Most Laurens I know have the middle name of Elizabeth, which is pretty too. Except for me because my middle name is unique so I hated it when I was little and love it now. But anyway, enough about names! I was a little mad at you for killing Susie, but otherwise there wouldn't be much of a story. The scenes with Addison and Mark and the headstone were so sweet and so sad at the same time. Wonderful fic!

Oh wow, talk about angsty. I didn't quite cry, but I did get teary-eyed... the furthest I've ever gotten with fanfiction. It was the tombstone scene that did it for me. Beautiful.
