EEEEEE! The DVD of Phantom is coming out April 28th! THANK GOD. I could not have waited until 2006, I would have gone insane and kicked off to the big opera house in the sky.

Ah, I went through a Phantom phase myself at one point. Me and a female friend would have debates over who was in the right, the Phantom or what's-his-name...I can't remember! I am shamed. She had sympathy for the Phantom, I felt that the other guy was wronged and was justified for trying to save Christine. But it's been so long since I've read it. Good stuff.

Erik should completely have gotten Christine. Raoul is portrayed as a wussy, whiny, head-over-heels IDIOT who wouldn't know love if it came up and bit him in the arse! Seriously, if you go back and read Leroux's novel, that is how he's portrayed. But then, I don't like his portrayal of Christine either. She seems much stronger in the new movie, and in Webber's musical.
