I forgot to mention this

there is this fantastic werewolf movie called Ginger Snaps which made a really obvious allegory between the birth of teenage sexuality and lycanthropy
and it was made for a fiver and a bag of chips (also the younger sister grew up to be becky in spn)
and as ginger, the were gets more wolfy she becomes more and more sexy, deliberately before turning into a really freaky beast (six nipples!)
but it's also safe for you
just saying, I wonder how much it influenced Teen Wolf (read a lot) because Birgitte (Becky) is like Stiles

yes, it couldn't afford gore, so very safe, uses what you don't see rather than in your face so bear it in mind
the sequels not so good (ginger's not even in them)
