Did any of you read the Babysitters Club books?  I started reading them  at the end of 3rd grade, I think... when I got my tonsils out.  I loved loved loved them and even tried to start my own Babysitting Club.  I'm so cool.  Anyway, I have a box of them from BITD and I gave them to Emma a few days ago.  She's been tearing through them.   She'll ( Read more... )

I had them ALL at one point! *LOVED* them. I mentioned them to Natalie as I thought she might like them too.

Very cool that you still have them.

I thought I had them all too, but I must have borrowed some of them, because the ones I have currently jump all over. I think I have about 30 of them though. I wonder if the library has them... they should, right?

SO much better than other 'tween' stories... I read the first chapter in one of them this morning and I was like "now THIS is a good kids book". Damn that Hannah Montana.

The library has some, but some of them have different illustrations on the cover. What's up with that noise? Getting the 80s fashions off of the Club, eh?

Oh man, I had a huge collection, too. I've no clue what happened to them. My mom probably sold them at a garage sale years and years ago, because I don't remember them being in my closet when I packed up and moved out at 18. My neighbor even had the board game and I always had to beg to play it, I loved it so much. Man... I hate myself now. hahahaha...

I'm pretty sure I read some of them but that was so long ago and I have a horrible memory.

I do, however, remember going to the bookstore to pick up the latest RL Stine book. You know those stupid kiddy horror novels with titles like "The Cheater" "The Nurse" "The House" "The, etc."

I LOVED them, even though they all had the same plot line and the same ending. And then I moved on to Stephen King. I sometimes wonder if I'm not meant to be a serial killer or something. Oh well, there's always time!

I LOVED R.L. Stine as well, and noticed while browsing the link k8 posted that someone is selling a bunch of them. :D

I love serial killer shows and books. :)
