Chapter 1 // Chapter 2 //

3. Unwanted Guest

“Fuck..!”

Reita didn’t really surprise with the word. He was actually glad to hear it. He appreciated every single dirty word that he heard from Aoi’s lips. It actually made the sensation grew and sent more shivers to Reita’s spine. Reita loved it when he could touch Aoi’s whole body on that bed like that moment.

As for Aoi, since the first time Aoi was plunged into the job, there were so many things he had learned.
First, voiced as often as you can.

“Reita!”

Most of Aoi’s clients loved it when Aoi was a bit noisy. They would pay more if Aoi moaned more, groaned more, cursed more, or called his client’s name more. Most of Aoi’s clients loved Aoi’s voice. They told him often. When they could hear Aoi’s voice, they knew that they made Aoi felt good. Aoi’s voice was the good responses to whatever they did to Aoi. They loved the responsive-Aoi, and Aoi’s voice was one way to found out about it.

Second, lie. Whatever you felt when they touched you, “yes” was the only answer to these kinds of question:
“You like it?” Reita asked as he thrust into Aoi.

“Y… yes..!” Aoi answered as he moaned.

Reita smiled when he heard the answer. He added more power to his hip and made Aoi’s moan heard louder.

Third, don’t ever work without things like: condoms and stimulant. If you don’t like your job, you will need those things so much, especially the stimulant. With those things, you don’t have to feel any other feelings besides the lust and your own moan that mixed with the strong scent of the liquid you produced after you worked. At least, after you woke up, the only things you would feel in the morning were the pain, stiffness, and a little bit of ache at the lower part of your body. While you’re still at those feelings, you just couldn't do anything to prevent it to happen. All you can do was regret, regret and regret.

+*+
Just like Aoi. Aoi regretted it every morning after the activity he did the night before. The only thing that made Aoi felt very grateful was, all night long, he had never realized that he had been raped for the stimulant he used.

That morning, Aoi opened his eyes. He didn't hurry himself to adjust his gaze. The soft pink from the ceiling of the room was the first thing that Aoi saw. That color alone was enough for Aoi to realize where he was that time.

“Psychedelic Heroine...” Aoi said slowly, with his still hoarse voice. He still felt so sleepy and tired.

It was the name of the love hotel where he was at that moment. Reita always took him to the hotel to settle their businesses. Reita always booked the highest floor’s same room because he could see the beautiful scenery from the room window. From their room, Reita and Aoi could see the city lights that decorated the scenery at night. The large window pane was like a frame of a large canvas with night sky painting on it. Too bad, the beautiful scenery of the night sky couldn't cover the decomposition that happened in the room.

“Fuck…” Aoi cursed as he touched his waist. “Too wild…”

Aoi then caressed his face slowly. He could still feel the rest of Reita’s touches on his skin. Aoi didn't have to saw himself in the mirror to found out how many red spots he got on his whole body.

“Well… this is the artwork of the Supreme Reita…” Aoi said as he raised both of his hands, as he was showing some works of a great artist.

Fed up with it, Aoi let both of his hands fall onto the bed sheet, each besides of his head. Aoi then felt his left hand was touching something. It was like sheets of papers.

Or it’s more than that. Aoi turned his head and looked at his left hand. He saw sheets of money there. He took the money and counted it. It’s all hundred thousand total.

“Son of a bitch…” Aoi swore slowly as he crumpled all the money in his grasp. “Reita, you, son of a bitch! You son of a bitch!!” Aoi threw all the money in the air. “You’re as useless as your predecessor, Reita…” Aoi said in a lower voice. “I hate you…”

The sheets of money flew and swung slowly in the air over Aoi. One of the sheets was directed right to Aoi’s face. Aoi warded it and it fell to the side of his body. Aoi then got up from the bed and pushed the blanked away from his still naked body. Aoi could still feel the pain but he tried not to think about it too much. He walked to the bathroom to clean himself from the scents that were still adhered on his body. Aoi didn't feel the urge to close the bathroom’s door because no one would see him there anyway.

Reita was already gone. Aoi knew it since it was already a habit every time they were done with their night activity. That was why Aoi didn’t hold back any of his acts and words.

It was always like that. At night, they would just go nuts. They would fall asleep after that because they were too tired. In the morning, Aoi would always wake up alone in the room. Reita would always wake up earlier and left the payment - that was never reached the exact amount - beside Aoi’s head on the pillow. There was no messages, no good-bye words, nothing that Reita left to make Aoi felt a little better.

Aoi just had the feeling that Reita didn’t have the necessity to do it because Aoi was actually no one. At least, that was what Aoi could think of. That was the only thing that Aoi could think about Reita because Reita never said anything about their relationship.

“Relationship? Fuck that…” Aoi whispered it to himself. “Why am I had to think about that damned word? It’s already more than two years, Aoi… THAT was IF you ever had the real relationship anyway… the special one…” Aoi sighed.

Aoi dried his body with the hotel’s towel. He looked at his face in the mirror before he left the bathroom. Aoi walked toward the sofa where he put all of his clothes the night before. One by one, he wore it all while tried so hard not to pay too many attention to the red traces on his skin. After he wore his jacket - the one he brought with him to cover any undetected red marks around his neck or shoulder - Aoi collected all the money that were still scattered on the bed. Aoi just wanted to get out from the hotel and went back to his apartment.

It was almost eight in the morning when Aoi reached his apartment door. Aoi stopped his step and closed his eyes. He took a deep breath and exhaled it slowly. Aoi tried to gather all of his patience because, after this, he would hear Ruki’s chirps. Ruki would always babble; advised him various things about Aoi’s current job, and always said things that - actually - Aoi never listened. Those routines shaped of disturbance that Ruki made every time he saw Aoi - at home after his wild night - often made Aoi regretted about his decision to let Ruki stayed in his apartment back then.

Aoi unlocked the door without saying any greeting because he felt he didn’t need to do it. It was HIS apartment anyway, wasn't it? So, Aoi just could do anything he wanted every time he entered or exited HIS OWN apartment. Fortunately, Ruki was cooperative enough about it. Ruki was also agreed not to invite any of his girlfriends to the apartment. OK, it could happen because Ruki didn’t have any of it. Yet.

After Aoi opened the door and stepped inside his own apartment, Aoi had to stop his step again. Aoi grumbled a little when he saw two pair of shoes there. He knew one of them was Ruki’s. Aoi never saw the other one. The size was too big for Ruki, yet, Aoi didn’t remember if he ever had that kind of shoes. It was SO not him. The shoes were black, just like those official workers had. Again, it was so not Aoi.

One thing that Aoi could conclude was the shoes were for males. So, Ruki didn’t bring his girlfriend. But… was Ruki a gay? Aoi shook his thought away. He just wanted to know who the person that Ruki brought to his apartment was.

Aoi closed the door behind him and entered his apartment. For the third time, Aoi had to stop his step again. This time, it happened when he reached his living room. He saw someone sat on his sofa, but that person was not Ruki. The person had a honey-blond hair, he wore glasses, and he was looking at Aoi. He looked pretty relaxed for an official worker. Aoi DID saw the coat on his sofa’s armchair beside that person. But still, white T-shirt that covered with white buttoned shirt - and he didn’t button his uppermost button, by the way - that THAT person wore was still way too relaxed for an official worker's costume. He even folded his long-sleeve to his elbow. Moreover, he wore a pair of jeans. It’s black, but still, it’s JEANS, for the sake of… whatever. He sat on the sofa in front of Aoi’s flat-screened television. From what Aoi saw there, that person was watching a music program.

Ruki was also blonde. But Ruki’s lighter. Ruki was beautiful, that person was also beautiful, but it didn’t make them resembled to each other. Moreover, that person was too tall to be recognized as Ruki.

“Oh… good morning,” greeted the honey-blond as he fixed his glasses. His voice was deep.

Before Aoi had the chance to even said anything, Aoi heard Ruki’s voice from somewhere inside his apartment, “Good morning to you too, Uruha! I thought that I've greeted you this morning!”

“Ruki!” Aoi called suddenly.

“EH!?” Ruki sounded so surprised. It didn’t take too long before Ruki appeared from behind the wall that separated the room with the kitchen. There, Ruki was just realized that the owner of the apartment was already home. “Ah! It was you who Uruha greeted at? Good morning, Aoi! Okaeri! Why didn’t you say anything when you’re here?”

Aoi fell silent as he just observed Ruki. “So?” Aoi said at last. “Which of your words that you want me to respond first?”

Ruki laughed. “Sorry. I forgot to tell you that Uruha would be coming here this morning. I wanted to call you last night but I thought I might disturb your jo-” Aoi stare at Ruki, with bulged eyes. “-disturb your agenda,” Ruki corrected his words fast. Ruki then looked at Uruha. “Oh! Aoi, this is Uruha, my-”

“Partner,” Uruha cut, fast, as he stood and bowed to Aoi. “Nice to meet you, Aoi-san.”

“Oh…” Aoi nodded slowly. “Nice to meet you too.”

“And Uruha, this is Aoi. He’s my roommat-”

“The OWNER,” Aoi said emphatically.

Ruki scratched his head and laughed again. “Oh, by the way, Aoi, care to having breakfast with us?”

“No, I want to take rest,” Aoi said as he walked passed Ruki. Aoi was so relieved that he could take a time off of Ruki’s chirps. Aoi was so glad that Ruki brought his partner here. Aoi started to consider of letting Ruki invited one of his friends to his apartment once in awhile. When Aoi walked to his bedroom, again, something made him had to stop his step.

“This band…” Ruki said when a promotional video of a band was broadcasted on the flat screen.

This is… Noir Arachnid, right?” Uruha asked as he watched the PV.

“Yup. It’s THAT band with their freak members,” Ruki commented.

“It’s so confusing to see that teenage girls, these days, are actually so into this kind of band,” Uruha said. “The vocalist was almost always screaming. Look at the guitarist. Why he had to dress up like that again? And, especially, there… the bassist… what was that? A noseband or something?”

“Oh, you mean Rei-” Ruki stopped his words when suddenly the television was being turned off.

Ruki turned his head, and found Aoi who was holding the remote control. Aoi threw the remote control to the closest sofa before he headed back to his bedroom. Uruha was shocked when he heard Aoi’s bedroom door was been shut with a slam.

Ruki just clicked his tongue as he took the remote control and turned on the television again. Ruki hurriedly switched the channel before the sound of the song reached Aoi’s bedroom. Ruki randomly picked the channel until they were watching a cooking program that moment.

“Hey…” Uruha called with a low voice. “What’s wrong with him?”

Ruki sighed. “I don’t know. Maybe he just doesn't like the band.”

“I don’t like it either,” Uruha said as he fixed his glasses. “But I don’t think he really needed to act like that.”

“Maybe he’s just tired.”

“Tired?” Uruha frowned. “By the way, if he’s this apartment's owner, why he didn’t sleep here last night?”

Ruki opened his mouth. He was just about to explain everything when something came to his mind. He then closed his mouth again and cleared his throat. Ruki voiced a fake chuckle. “He sometimes spent the night at his friend’s place.”

“I see…” Uruha nodded. “By the way again…”

“What?”

“Is he single?” Uruha’s question made Ruki showed his flat expression. “No, no, no! Wait!” Uruha said hurriedly as he saw Ruki was about to left him back to the kitchen. “You haven’t answered my question yet.” Uruha hold Ruki’s wrist in a tight grip.

Ruki voiced his fake laughed, again. “Weird question. Just like a gay you are.”

“But he’s too, right?”

“How do you know?”

Uruha shrugged. “I don’t know. I just know it.”

Ruki scratched his head. “Mm… well, I don’t know whether he’s still single or not. Why don’t you ask him directly?”

“That’s impossible, Ruki. We've just met today.”

“He already got used to it.”

“Got used to what? What do you mean?”

“Oh, by the way-” Ruki hurriedly changed the topic. “Why suddenly do you want to know he’s single or not?” Ruki asked. Uruha smiled. Ruki felt suspicious. “Don’t tell me you’re attracted to him?” Ruki asked again and Uruha’s smile got wider. “Oh, gosh…”

“Hey, hey, hey! Wait a minute!” Uruha said as he grabbed Ruki’s wrist again when Ruki was about to left him again. “Now WHY do you have to act this way?”

“He won’t like you.”

“What? But why?”

“Because you… mm…” Ruki hummed, hesitated. “What did you say again? You were attracted to him?”

“Yes.”

“Really, really attracted?”

“I just feel interested in him when the first time I saw him, Ruki. That’s all. I bet you understand those kinds of feelings, right? So, why was that?”

“What IF he’s not single anymore?”

That time, Uruha hummed. He was thinking for awhile before he answered, “Depends. If he’s not in serious relationship like engagement or marriage, there are still chances for me, right?”

“Hey, hold on right there, wow… don’t you think it’s still too fast, Uruha? Like what you've said earlier, you've just met each other TODAY. Not more than fifteen minutes ago, and not more than ten minutes duration.”

“Husbands and wives didn’t have the idea that they would get married into each other when the first time they met.

“It’s a different case, Uruha.”

“Why should be?”

“You’re crazy.”

“So, he’s single?”

“Uruha!”

What!?”

Ruki sighed again. “Are you really serious!?”

“Why?”

Ruki opened his mouth again. He really wanted to tell Uruha everything about Aoi. But Ruki didn’t say anything. He closed his mouth again and he patted Uruha’s shoulder. “Just take it slowly first, will you?”

“OK. Help me then.”

“Why do you need any help?! On top of that, why am I should be the one who help you?!”

“Ruki, my dear friend, Aoi and I, we've just met today, and I still don’t know anything about him, and you’re the one I know who know him too. And, hey, congratulation! You’re even live in the same apartment with him!”

“So how am I supposed to help you? You saw it, didn’t you? He’s the type of human who was so hard to be socialized at! He didn’t even have any interest in you!”

“How did you know?”

“You didn’t see his face when he was looking at you?!”

“I saw it.”

“So!?”

“OK. How about this? Invite him to a dinner with us.”

“What reason?”

“Mm… familiarity?”

“Ridiculous.”

“You have another excuse?”

“No.”

“Then, we’ll use my idea.”

“He’ll refuse!”

“Why?”

“He’ll be busy!”

“How do you know that he’ll be busy at the dinner date? We even haven’t decided the date yet.”

“Because..! Since..! That..! He is-”

“OK. Deal.”

“URUHA!?”

“Oops, we haven’t had our breakfast yet, Ruki. We will be late. Guess we have to take it as our bento today.” Uruha smiled.

“You suck.”

“I know.” Uruha’s smile grew wider.
