So, as some people know, the last four years have been incredibly stressful. What people don't know is HOW stressful. The occasional glimpses friends and family have seen are only the surface. On that note it's probably better that the book with "that publisher" we talked about today didn't go through. The silver lining in it is that you don't have to deal with their editors.

Isn't that the truth!! After I was stunned by the irony, I was actually completely relieved. AND my agent was thrilled to hear that it's now in his territory. :}

It's especially cool 'cause now you've got the agent to keep them at bay and whip the contractual stuff in shape. It's a bit harder for the publisher to try to take advantage of you now, especially when the agent can call and go, "hey, what's with all the B.S. revisions? We're on revision 5 now." They can lay the smack down on the editor probably at lot easier than you can.

All you need now is a personal assistant, a fleet of limos, your own "posse", your own perfume, a pizza hut commercial, and an interview on Larry King where you talk about your move into acting.

Wait. That's a rapper, not a writer.

Now all you need is a movie based on the short story you wrote about killer Peterbuilts while you were coked up.

Wait. That's Stephen King.

I can get this right. Now all you need is a TV show about your marriage where you don't know if Chicken of the Sea is tuna or chicken.

Wait. That's...aw...I give up...
