"This would have been useful to know about earlier," Hawke muttered. He was certain there was still dust sitting in his lungs from their little trip outside.

He felt a small bit of nervousness before stepping inside the elevator. It had nothing to do with the tunnels below. No Hawke plenty of exerience dark tunnels before now. It came from the elevator itself. He hadn't seen anything like that before, not even from dwarves. Hawke didn't trust it, but it seemed that it was their only way out. Running through all that dust again wasn't something he wanted to repeat. Pushing the nervous feeling aside Hawke stepped into the elevator.

The moving box was almost as foreign to Vie as it was to Hawke, though luckily the Valei woman had seen similar in her time. Never were the 'lifts', as they were known in her homeland quite as closed in as this, but it was enough to set her mind at relative ease.

"I do think the Lord of the Keep gets a kick out of watching us suffer."

She was still covered from head to toe in dust. Patting herself down had achieved little in removing the dirt from her body. Stepping inside with Hawke, Vie pushed the down arrow and tried not to start when the elevator started to move.

"Here goes..."

"If those punishments of his are any kind of a sign then I have to agree."

When the elevator began to move Hawke had to steady himself against the wall. That wasn't something he was used to and he probably wouldn't for some time. Hopefully this dust blew out soon. He was already starting to miss the stairs.

The door opened and Hawke peeked his head into the tunnel.

"What? No undead? No giant spiders? This won't be any fun at all."

That said, his hands remained close to his daggers. Blunt as they are, they could still hurt with enough force.

The passage was narrow, rough-hewn from the stone and poorly lit. Stone supports jutted out from the walls at irregular intervals, only deepening the shadows. The only light came from a single torch wedge into a bracket to the elevator's left. The passage stretched away in either direction, swallowed by darkness before it had reached an end.
