Sollux enters the study once Kevas opens the door and takes a seat near the exit. For now he's satisfied to be quiet and listen, but he has his notes stuffed in his journal just in case they're needed.

After speaking with Kevas, Talia makes her way to the library to speak with those that had received notes from the pigeons.

Talia herself had received a few of the pigeon sent notes herself and was very interested to see what everyone else had.

She steps into the library and after a moment spots Kevas and the study, making her way over. She strokes his arm encouragingly as she passes, slipping inside the smaller room and moves to take a seat.

She spots the younger troll as she enters, simply nodding her head in greeting and offering a soft, "Sollux."

Depending how this went, she would try to speak with Kevas afterward about what she had learned from Dos.

Asma is quiet as she follows everyone else into the study. There really isn’t a need to say anything. Well, not right now at the very least. Idle chatter would serve no purpose except to waste time. It would be better to save conversation for when more people arrive. Until then, she’ll be content to quietly sit and wait for someone else - either guests or staff - to arrive.

Nel was as talkative as she'd been on entering the library. That was to say, she felt no need to fill the air with meaningless chatter. She found a stack of books to stand beside, and that was that.

After the meeting is over... drinkuntilidie June 3 2011, 04:03:34 UTC
Once the meeting had finished and the others had left, Kevas remained in the library. He was still thinking, still planning. How was he going to contact the others without using the journal? How was he going to keep Isabel from gaining the notes he acquired? If he was caught what was he going to do, and how was he going to protect the others?

There were still plans he needed to think of and still work to be done.

But the hits just keep on coming. thequeensown June 3 2011, 19:05:58 UTC
Talia remains behind as the others leave, her own mind busy with concerns over the intrigue they are playing at. There was a very careful line they were going to have to walk in order to keep themselves under the watchful gaze of Isabel; particularly when not knowing what could happen to Kevas because of it.

Her eyes stray to her mate who appears lost in his own thoughts and she feels a surge of protectiveness sweep through her. The Lady Isabel would have far more on her plate than she was reckoning if she thought to do any harm to the troll.

She rises from her chair and moves around to where he sits, hand sliding up his arm as she reaches him. Giving his shoulder a gentle squeeze, she slides her hands more properly around his neck, settling them about chest level and hugs him back in against her.

"Every answer warranted three more questions .."

So lost in thought was Kevas that he didn't even notice Talia's presence until she placed her hand upon his arm. His reaction was subtle as his body stiffened and then immediately relaxed at the realization of who it was. He lifted his hand and gently placed it over her smaller one taking comfort in her presence as he always did.

The troll sighed heavily, suddenly feeling tired from this whole thing. He didn't like the leadership role. In fact he could easily say he hated it. Every time he tried to step into it before it ended in disaster yet here was again. Even worse there were people he truly cared about getting involved in this. How was he supposed to send them, send his wife, into this? Kevas could easily risk himself without a second thought, but it wasn't so easy when it came to those he loved.

"And da ansah to dose questions will lead to five more. It nevah ends does it?"

Kevas leaned his head and looked up at Talia. He smiled but it looked as tired as he was.

As subtle as the reaction might have been, she feels him tense before relaxing, but never withdraws her hands and in a moment he settles one of his own atop one of hers.

His chest heaves beneath her fingers and she gently smooths her free hand over his chest. She doesn't need to read him to know how he feels about the role of leader, having seen his reaction to being in this position before. It wasn't that he was not capable, because he was, in every description it warranted. However, the Elegante had not been the best of places to prove such, and missions rarely went according to plan.

That had not been his fault, although she understood his reticence in having it happen yet again.

His words sound tired and when he leans his head back and gazes up at her, she moves her hand from his chest to his cheek, stroking lightly.

"Mayhap someday, my love .. Haven knows, it's been well earned."

After the meeting, and after Kevas and Talia were done, Sollux waits for the two to separate before approaching Talia. He wasn't planning on doing anything to hurt her, but he'd rather not the ogre the troll her matesprit be within hearing distance since he was so protective of her.
And seemed to trust the person he had to ask her about.

"Uh, hey, Talia."

Talia watches as Kevas departs, tension settled understandably between his shoulders. He might keep most of it turned inward, but she knew it was there; hell, anyone that knew the troll well enough would know he was carrying a large load once more.

She sends a brief thought to him to try and relax, hoping he heeds it .. for his own sake.

She steps out of the meeting room and pauses as her name is called. She half turns, looking curiously and finds Sollux standing in wait. She is surprised to find the young troll in wait, as she knew he wasn't particularly fond of her since her panicked broadcast on her arrival. her expression is open and curious as she looks at him.

"Heyla, Sollux .. you were waiting for me?"

He hmphs a bit and decides to jump straight to the point. This could be important and he doesn't really feel like socializing so best to get it done before she thinks this is an invitation to talk.

"Yeah, look, I know you're psychic and you can get into people's heads. Can you just send shit or can you read things too?"

She holds off on quirking her lips at his approach, as it seems as if he's something rather important on his mind. She folds her arms loosely and nods.

"I can read as well .. specific thoughts, no.. but the emotions of their mind, yes. I can tell if someone is being truthful or decepetive .. I can alter or sway their emotions if need be."

Talia leaves out the part about using the same Gift as an attack, which she has done and would do again under the right conditions. She studies him, aware that he waited to speak with her alone. She is not dumb and has used her Gifts for just this sort of thing in the past for the Queen.

"Who?"
