Sollux enters the study once Kevas opens the door and takes a seat near the exit. For now he's satisfied to be quiet and listen, but he has his notes stuffed in his journal just in case they're needed.
After speaking with Kevas, Talia makes her way to the library to speak with those that had received notes from the pigeons.
Talia herself had received a few of the pigeon sent notes herself and was very interested to see what everyone else had.
She steps into the library and after a moment spots Kevas and the study, making her way over. She strokes his arm encouragingly as she passes, slipping inside the smaller room and moves to take a seat.
She spots the younger troll as she enters, simply nodding her head in greeting and offering a soft, "Sollux."
Depending how this went, she would try to speak with Kevas afterward about what she had learned from Dos.
Asma is quiet as she follows everyone else into the study. There really isn’t a need to say anything. Well, not right now at the very least. Idle chatter would serve no purpose except to waste time. It would be better to save conversation for when more people arrive. Until then, she’ll be content to quietly sit and wait for someone else - either guests or staff - to arrive.
Nel was as talkative as she'd been on entering the library. That was to say, she felt no need to fill the air with meaningless chatter. She found a stack of books to stand beside, and that was that.
It looked like this would be it for now. Hopefully more would arrive as they went over what information they had with them. Joe still wasn't here, but if he was smart then he would be paying attention to this.
Kevas followed the others inside and removed his notes from his journal. There were four in total, two of his own and two he received from Bryn. Both of hers were rather disturbing and only made this more urgent in his mind. After that he remove a small sheet of paper from his pocket. The messages from Yuna's and Jack's notes had been written on it. Maybe he couldn't copy the handwriting but at least they would have the information.
"What we be sayin' here ain't be leavin' dis room. Isabel already be aftah me so we be needin' to be careful wid dis."
He began to spread his notes and paper out on the table for all to see.
"From what I be gaddahin' da two most important locations be da clothier towah and da forest."
She might not have gone near the pigeons herself, but Vie has information to pass on. Kevas is one she's avoided thus far, not wanting to upset him as she'd done the first time they'd met. Still, what was written on the notes Hawke had shown her needed to be shared.
Vie steps inside in time for Kevas to speak. "Forgive my intrusion... I've two more that I'm not sure you have."
And she steps forward to add Hawke's notes to the collection on the table. They read: "light and water" and "behave yourself, brother."
Sollux ignores Talia on her way in--well, he mostly ignores everyone until Kevas speaks up, actually. Then he hops off his chair and moves over to the table, looking over the notes Kevas has put out.
"Joe? Like the cook?"
He pulls hisnotes out of his journal and puts them on the table as well, but a bit aside from Kevas and Vie's. He'll want those back.
"We can get under the tower with the vertical people mover. I don't know about the forest."
From around the corner steps Joe, a little unsure of how people will react to his presence but there all the same. He moves to the group and folds his arms across his chest.
"M'here to help. One of those notes has my name of it and be focked if I'm not going to find out why. The rest of the staff don't know I'm 'ere, an' I ain't gonna let 'em find out about me or this group if I can."
Asma quickly adds her note to the small grouping on the table - 'This is Cecelia. Are you happy now?'
She eyes Joe as he comes in, unsure as to whether or not she should trust him. Still, if he's telling the truth, then he won't do anything stupid. If not... well, Joe is outnumbered by quite a few people. They have the advantage if he decides to try anything.
"And what would happen if they did find out about us?" Which, honestly, they probably will. All they would have to do is check the journals, after all.
"I can't imagine anything good," Talia states simply, pulling out her own two notes and setting them on the table. They read: 'HURRY, HE KNOWS, ZACK' and 'I HAD THE SAME DREAM AGAIN. SHE WAS THERE.'
"But that is just my own belief on the subject, what with the Lady Isabel intent on seeing the subject squashed."
Her hazel gaze moves to Joe and she offers him a nod. She recognizes the man from the boat, although he is not the same cook they had known there. She'll welcome the aide, but she'll be keeping a well trained thought leaning his way for the first hint of anything amiss.
Nel realized with a start that her loyalties were conflicted like they'd rarely been before. Looking around at the ragtag attendees, she couldn't say who she would defend if worst came to pass.
She pushed the thought out of her head, sliding her note to the outskirts of the pile on their table.
"Won't last long, it says." Her voice crept lower than a murmur.
Things suddenly felt very tense in this room. Even more so for Kevas at Vie's arrival. The moment he saw her he could feel his chest tighten. Fortunately he showed no outwards signs of it. Hopefully they could get through this without any awkward situations...or a fight breaking out. That would make things even more difficult.
With all their notes together Kevas set them in the center of the table and examined them closely. Some seemed important, some seemed trivial, and others seemed...disturbing. Unfortunately none of it seemed to give Kevas anymore insight as to what was happening. It only reinforced his plan of visiting the forest and tower as soon as possible.
"I still be t'inkin' da towah and da forest be da most important here. Problem be I ain't be knowin' where in da forest."
Sollux doesn't really plan to talk much, and he eyes Joe for a moment as the man enters and speaks but if Kevas trusts him to be here Sollux won't say anything. To his face, at least.
"There were two others mentioned over the journals. 'If you see Hanako, kill her. She's already dead.' And 'Where we buried Zack.'"
Asma listens as everyone says their piece. She recalls the notes Sollux mentioned, as they had been brought up in her last journal entry. As for needing to explore the tower and the forest, she definitely agrees with Kevas on that issue.
"We may not know where to go, but the simple answer is to explore and find out. It may take a while, but we'll be covering ground and as long as we leave markers to indicate areas we've been in before, then we won't get lost."
Hey, it worked in Faudrin. She doesn't see any reason why it wouldn't work here.
"If they catch you out, they'll be puttin' a stop to the pigeon messages. Aye, they already know somethin' is up, but as fer how far along it is and what information you've all got, I don't think Isabel has quite realized."
The notes in front of him earn a quick glance over, Joe frowning a little while he tries to piece the message together. One of the lot strikes surprise in him, and for a moment it shows on his face before Joe resumes his frown. There's a little less bite, a little more sorrow.
"Behave yerself, brother. Heh."
He looks to Kevas and the rest and nods, forcing his expression to lift. "There's a tunnel under the tower that had a bit of a cave in a while back. M'not sure how far we'll get, but it's worth a shot, I think. As fer the forest, it could mean a few places. If there's any more notes out there, I'd recommend gettin' hold of 'em."
Jack only catches the ending part of that line when he walks in. Have yourselves a merry captain, complete with a bottle of rum in one hand.
"Ah, Here be the crew to see."
He swaggers or stumbles, depending on whose perspective you are looking at him at, and in the hand not holding his booze he holds up two pieces of paper.
"I be having two more to add to this mystery if you are inclined?"

There's gold in the grin he gives everyone.
