I know it's like ... 3 months later, but the Ted Haggard news story is STILL bothering me. And I'll tell ya why.

For those who are unaware, let me sum up: This past fall, bible beater, evangelist, and vocal gay basher Ted Haggard, resigned from his leadership of the National Association of Evangelicals. I think this was because he was expecting

I never feel pity for people who's job "necessitates" gay bashing or self-hatred or any of that. 'Cause they should get a different job. Period.

I don't really care about his motivations. What bugs me about the story is the word "bisexual" is never used. He's gay 'cause he slept w/ a man. Well, he has 5 children, so we know he indulged in heterosexual acts at least 5 times.

Yeah. On the bisexual note, I think that accurately describes his behavior, and maybe even his orientation.

And why not talk about the obvious polyamorous aspect of having both a wife and a long-term extramarital affair?

I think concentrating on these small things are really missing the bigger picture.

I don't think it's considered to be poly if you have a wife and a secret mistress

I DO think having male partners and female partners is bisexual behavior, if not bisexual orientation, and I'm SICK of bisexuality being invisible.

And of course, if Haggard strayed, it was really because his wife wasn't doing her wifely duty, which makes it less his fault (scroll down to "Most pastors I know...."
