A PTA acquaintance who's husband is a spook of some sort was all excited about buying a new dress because she's meeting the US president at the embassy this week or next. So I asked her if she'd poke him in the eye for me. She got this hurt look on her face and said "No, I am going to shake his hand" oops!Didn't mean to spoil her fun but who knew

I'm not amazed that he still has supporters. Hitler still has supporters and he's been defeated, dead, and gone for decades now. He just doesn't have many of them. Some people will stick to an idea no matter how bad it is.

What I am amazed by is how many people support McCain when he has stated many times that he will do the same things Bush has done for the past 8 years.

I'd say I was glad not to be American but my Canadian half has Stephen Harper and my British half is stuck with Gordon Brown. Not much to be proud of there. :-/
