A sunny Easter weekend!

Yesterday the forecast was 19C/66F sunny intervals, but in fact, it was much warmer than that for most of the day as it was so sunny which was lovely. We started the day with a walk to our local town primarily just to enjoy the sunshine and get some exercise, but it meant we could treat ourselves to something nice to bring home for lunch. The rest

The weather has been so ridiculously lovely that it’s hard to believe it’s a holiday weekend.

Lemon meringue pie always reminds me of my grandmother who made a delicious one. Sadly, all her baking secrets died with her so I don’t know what she did to make it quite so scrummy.

I use Delia Smith recipe for lemon meringue as it’s not too sweet. I don’t like her pastry so I use my own shortcrust recipe or cheat and get a ready made pastry case if I’m in a hurry ;)

It was nice here, too - we had the conservatory door open all afternoon - and between cake related things we sat and admired our dandelions :)

It is the same again today, too. But it rained overnight so the grass is too damp to cut - hurrah!

What sport could you play the longest in a televised game, without anyone discovering you're not a professional athlete? Dominoes... well they must televise it on some channel somewhere!

What fictional (TV/movie/book) character(s) have you had a crush on over the years? Robin of Sherwood - both incarnations although I think the Michael Praed version had the edge! Oh - and David Essex in The River.
