Thursday - learning new stuff......

Today has been sunny but with a cold wind. I started the day preparing the vegetables for lunch as we'd decided to have a large lunch as I had my new Pilates lesson this evening.

At 10.30 I started a new WEA course - A Guide to Understanding Paintings. I wasn't sure what to expect from this course, but it turned out to be delivered by an artist

Hurrah for new sofas! Ours was brought in by two nice young men who put it together for us(It came as 3 separate pieces).

We had to buy a new sofa from somewhere where they sell sectional sofas as our hallway is very narrow and to get a three seater in the front room would be impossible to manoeuvre. It is strange we have to wait until next week for the covers - that's never happened before with sofa deliveries, but of course stuff is very different at the moment!

The modular ones were much easier to get into here, too, for similar reasons - our hallway has a tight right-angle turn before you get to the door to the living room. It would be possible to get something big in via the back gate, the path and the double doors of the conservatory - but modular ones through the front door were easier :)

Removable covers would be really useful - even if the arrived a week later. IKEA is not an option for us - a downside of island life.

How odd not to have the covers with the sofa bed.

Glad you're enjoying the new Pilates. It is good to have a change sometimes.

All I can think is the covers have had to come from another branch - but it is strange not to send it all together. Who needs a sofa without covers for a week???

The new Pilates is a challenge. I'm enjoying it even though it's hard.
