I had forgotten about the initial cause of the 2007 strikethrough. *shakes head* And like other kefuffles, the determination was not sustained on either side. The comms and posts are still here and people who left came back to LJ. I imagine the same will happen this time. Since one of my favourite coms has moved, I am using both DW and LJ and suppose I will continue to do so, until I lose interest in that fandom.
I like your eggs and you are right - why would you think that anything you collect is odd? Pretty much by definition, if you collect a thing you would not think it odd.
I seem to remember avoiding Lj for a few days at the time as people were being very over dramatic and a lot of people did end up coming back. However, several people stayed on DW and cross posted and are still doing so. I've just been unfriended by a couple of people who have migrated to DW and are cross posting. Ooops.

Those are lovely! I purchases some hand-painted wooden eggs in Budapest for my grandchildren, but I left the bag where one of the dogs could get it... She chewed up every single one of them!
Yes indeed there are a couple of ammonites there - we got those when we travelled to the South coast of the UK where there's a jurassic coast and there are fossils you can pick up from the beach. We got those in a souvenir shop though ;)

Yes indeed there are a couple of ammonites there - we got those when we travelled to the South coast of the UK where there's a jurassic coast and there are fossils you can pick up from the beach. We got those in a souvenir shop though ;)
