Moving on....
Just ignore yesterday's post. I was feeling crappy and tired and I very nearly 'flounced off' which I am not known for! Today I am much more sensible.
However yesterday's discussion was interesting as some of you may remember the great May 2007 strikeout debacle when Lj decided not to host paedophile porn and took far too heavy a hand and decided to delete comms everywhere without really checking content. curiouswombat reminded me that a lot of those dodgy comms ended up at Dreamwidth, and to be honest I don't think I want to give my custom to a place that will host that kind of content! So, although my DW account is still active, I shall no longer be updating or backing up there and I've amended the last post on there to say that. I don't like the idea of a site that allows that kind of content - it makes me feel very uncomfortable. Maybe I should resurrect my InsaneJournal...
I have reached the big 5 oh! Question 50: What's an odd thing you collect? That's a strange question really because I don't think anything I collect is odd. I have spoken before about the mineral and wooden "eggs" I collect. I have a glass and ceramic one too and papier mache, and jade and others. Under the cut for photos I took last time I talked about them.
There are different types of wood, different granites, some lovely jade and mineral eggs. I rather like the Delft ceramic egg which we bought in Amsterdam in the middle photo and in that same bowl is a glass egg (green to the left) which has blown glass inside it. In that same bowl is a limestone egg (at the top - it's beige) which has fossils in it. If the boys are never sure what to get me for birthdays and Christmas I always say I'll have an egg :)
In other news I am supposed to be dancing my solo dance to the belly dance class on Thursday and I haven't actually fully learned it yet. The dance show is on the 21st May - eek!
