Yeah, I can't stop thinking about this film....and the soundtrack is fab. Thanks for the translation!

I was reading about the housing crisis in San Francisco recently - how tech is pricing out any sense of a normal affordable rent option - and they pointed out that some tech start ups are leaving for detroit. I wonder what it's going to do to that city.....

So glad I'm not the only one! There are some Youtube playlists that include a lot of the other music, though there seems to be some variations among them. Remember, Mon after FF for a rewatch! I may try to check it two more times, if the larger group of people can be rustled up.

While cooking dinner I thought about something. It is pointed out in reviews and write ups that Adam is this emo, hipster, depressed, romantic character. And I thought, just the fact that he's a vampire means he is the ultimate "I was into _____ before anyone else." Which means I bet he could be insufferable. And that's something I really like about what was done with the film, being able to see ourselves in these otherworldly creatures

Slate has a nice review, and I particularly liked this section:

These creatures have been around for centuries. They have nowhere to go, nothing to see, no one to meet. Rarely has Jarmusch’s style been so inherently suited to his content. Stillness and silence, the cardinal virtues of his method, have never been so ( ... )
