Whenever I go to a convention now, and people ask me, "How many conventions have you been to?", the answer should be something along the lines of, "Enough so that the combined mass of all my souvenir con books is sufficient to sink the North American continent."  As such, writing a con report seems almost superfluous.  But what the heck ... re: drinking con -- This seems to be a trend at cons over the last couple of years, the alcohol content is increasing.

MFF especially ... which one person I was talking to said might have something to do with the heavier-drinking culture of the area, with so many descendants of German and Polish immigrants. It sounds good to me. :)

But yes, it's funny, considering that furcons used to be about the driest cons out there.

I gave up keeping track of how many cons I'd been to somewhere around two or three ... dozen.

That was in the early '80s.

After a while, they're like birthdays, yes. Nice to have, and certainly better than NOT having them, but ... each one individually ceases to be completely OMG wow amazing. :)

I have an old fursuit head filled with nothing but con badges ... which seems a fitting container for them in its own way, although I could probably find a better use for it. :)
