P.S. BB, you can totally pretend it was written for you. I put it at the top of my writing queue and cross-posted it to that comm because of the icky thing that upset you.

I love this! Font colour and butter pecan and allllllll the antagonistic flirting and the way it turned smoking hot like an ambush at the end. Lying in wait under concealing layers of humour and then suddenly Uhura is communicating via hand signals and there is Spock-as-bulkhead determining logistics.

"Woah," says Jim, pulling instinctively against the grip and nearly losing his balance when he moves Spock precisely not at all. Spock merely leans Jim back against his chest until he gets his feet planted again. "This is. Um," says Jim. He tries to shove back but Spock is as solid as a bulkhead. A lithe, overwarm bulkhead breathing in measured gusts against Jim's ear.

Hot. Very.

I'm glad you like, despite it not filling the prompt very well and taking ages to write.

Ambush, yesssss. I like it when Kirk is overpowered, ok, don't judge me. >> i wouldn't say that i ship kirk/spock, but i do very much like spock's vulcan strength in proximity to kirk's sass.

Jim wrote a poem about it as soon as he got back to his bunk.

I wanna see.

jk, no, I actually picked that line out just because it was so AMAZING.

(but I totally do wanna see.)

That's why he only likes to argue with hot people.

*makes note of this excellent stratagem, for future reference*

The two paragraphs following 'her BDSM cherry' were too beautiful to quote, I'm sorry, I just can't do it.

Uhura turns to look at him snap-quick, and that's a change from the way she usually turns to him: torso swiveling first, then a fluid motion of the neck with the head following. The eyes move last, and slowly, as if they're connected to Spock with strings of glue.

This is so sexy. SO SEXY. CAN I JUST REPEAT THAT EVERYONE? SO. SEXY. HURGH.

I guess that goes for the entire thing really but SO SEXYYYY.

Other highlights include: WITTY BANTER, Pike, the promise of still more heartoratleastovarystoppingly amazing things to come, subtextual or otherwise, omg.

There once was a girl named Uhura
who thought Kirk was sexy for sure-a.
Of course she denied it
but she couldn't hide it
'cause not wanting Kirk is unheard of.

:D

"Beautiful" is not the word I would have chosen, but then I was slightly traumatized as the Sudden Subby Chekov was as much as surprise for me as it was for Jim. o.O

CAN I LABEL THIS UNDER "PG FOR PORN," THEN? It's my personal point of pride. ^_^

I'm glad I'm not getting complaints about the fade-to-black. I like to leave it open to interpretation, see....

WHY DID JIM BECOME A STARFLEET CAPTAIN?

HE IS A NATURALBORN POET AND SHOULD BE RECOGNIZED AS SUCH.

Also, yes you can. Yes. You. Can. (w/r/t pg for porn)

AS IF THERE COULD BE ANY OTHER REASON.

That was hilarious, then unexpectedly hot at the end.

A lithe, overwarm bulkhead breathing in measured gusts against Jim's ear.

"Miss Uhura prefers to improvise," says Spock. "It is I who would determine the logistics."
*shivers*
