lol, I didn't think anyone outside of my family liked Hellfighters and McLintok! And I'm assuming The First Olympics was the TV movie about, well, the first Olympics? With Louis Jordan, David Ogden Stiers and David Caruso?

Hellfighters was a staple at my Grandma's house as I was growing up and everyone should see McLintock!

And you would be right on the First Olympics. I just had to rebuy the DVD on Amazon because my previous sprouted legs and a swam the Ohio river to my mom.

You didn't cheat. Star Wars is just one gigantically long epic that happened to be shown in three parts. *g* (and really, the newer episodes/prequels/whatever do not count and do not exist in my reality anyway)

Seen all of your movies except no. 3. Never even heard of that one. *ponders*

I can live with the prequels as long as I think of them as a completely different set of movies. Kinda like an AU or something. I know that statement would probably make others demand a refund of my Star Wars fangirl card... but... yeah. But they don't even hold a candle on my movie list.

And McLintock!!!!! You so need to watch this movie. John Wayne. Maureen O'Hara. And SPANKING!! This movie has spanking!!!

Oh. Oh!!! That one! The one where John Wayne goes to Ireland and gets hooked up with Maureen O'Hara who doesn't want him, and he's the strong, silent type?

Of course I know that one! *g* I just didn't know the title.

Nope... that one was The Quiet Man. McLintock was a western where JW and MO were estranged/separated until their daughter returned home from school after several years away and then everything all clashes at once. Indians, spanking, drunken brawls, JW falling down stairs... all sorts of laughs in this one.
