I am so happy for you and the new job! It sounds like just what you needed for a new start and so much less stressful! Wheeeeee! I will look for you today/tonight and hopefully get some chat time in. *massive hugs*
and also, your cats sound pretty normal to me. Mom's are doing pretty much the same thing with Donut. Initially both ignored him, now one is tolerant and the other wants to beat him up and teach him who's boss.
Whoooo hoooo! New job sound so much better, and yes, you did the new job without back up for two days - you are rockin' it! :)
As for the cats - mostly ignore them. Shut the front blinds and let them sulk, and if they still leap on each other that vehemently, get a little can with some gravel or coins in and toss it down near them when they start up. The noise will startle the fuck out of them. Tell them *no* and when they slink off all pissed and confused, get out the brush.
They'll get over it, trust me. The Strange Cat is just winding them up and making them edgy. You could also try tossing the coin-can at SC. Might make him give up lurking on your porch.

And I'll be honest - I don't think they have any idea what they are doing, either. Geniuses, they are not :)

And you give good advice - it scared me the first time they started this fighting nonsense, but now I'm ready for them to be done with it.
