Thanks very much! I'm not quite happy with all the wording, but you know how it is sometimes... If you don't put down the red marker eventually you won't have any story left.

This does have kind of a tribal quality. I'm reminded of the werewolf mythos established by White Wolf, and each time one of their characters it always starts with "This story is true." This piece has that same quality to it.

One question - what is Moqulei? I'm just wondering if it has anything to do with the phoenix stories, since I didn't find any references to it online.

Glad you liked it. Moqulei came out of my head entirely spur of the moment. I wanted the pheonixes to come from another planet, though where he is not is not necessarily Earth, either.
