Saw "Tinker Tailor" today. ♥_♥ I'm fond of the book, and the movie does an EXCELLENT job condensing the plot and keeping it moving. ( brief spoilers )

I had to ask one of my friends who'd read the books more recently than I have & he confirmed that Guillam was FAR from gay in the books. But I did like the twist of making him gay in the film - it made his character more poignant.

Also really loved that they kept the Bill/Jim relationship in the story. (And there are quite a few Bill/Jim fics on AO3 and the fandom was requested for Yuletide, so hopefully we'll get new fics. Remember, the Brits got the movie almost 2 months before we Yanks did. *g*)
